The New Horizons Project began in November 2009, and wrapped up at the end of March 2010. It is a comprehensive project that addresses various aspects of economic development, capacity building, and skills development. We believe that this holistic apporach is necessary to ensure real change and improvement in our economic climate. We also believe that this project will help assist us in laying a strong foundation for our future.

The overall goal of the project is to enhance our region's capacity for working together in economic development. This will be accomplished through increases in our human resources capacity, further regional planning, the aquisition of new skills and knowledge, and with improved and lasting strategies and resources for communication and cooperation.
